Overview: President Nicolás Maduro decrees a State of Alarm in the country to face the Covid-19 pandemic

In accordance with article 338 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the alarm state is established to protect the population from the COVID-19 Pandemic. Academic activities are suspended at all levels and mandatory use of face masks is established in public transportation systems.
