Overview: After attending the presentation of diagnostic kits for COVID-19 developed by scientists from the University of the Republic and the Pasteur Institute, President Lacalle Pou considered that it is a necessity to have swabs, masks or respirators of national production, because they are supplies that the world needs. He appreciated the researchers’ commitment and said that it would be an honor to collaborate with other countries.
