Overview: State level measures: Municipalities in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte and Rio Grande do Sul declared a state of emergency to help contain the coronavirus. Campinas region cities also issued a declaration of an emergency. Various other cities and municipalities issued decrees with measures aimed at containing transmission of covid-19, including restrictions on interstate travel, closure of public establishments, and varying lockdown restrictions.
