Overview: The Argentine Government closed the country”s borders to all persons except citizens and permanent residents. Exemptions are available for people working in the international trade industry, such as carriers, pilots and those involved in flight operations. Exemptions are available for people operating sanitary flights.

This decision replaced an earlier restriction requiring all people arriving in Argentina to self-isolate for 14 days.

The Argentine Government stopped all international transit through Argentina, and announced that only those eligible to enter the country may board a plane to Argentina.
