Overview: Governor Northam Announces New Measures to Combat COVID-19 and Support Impacted Virginians. Social gatherings of more than 10 people are banned, restaurants and fitness centers can’t serve more than 10 people, unemployment services are increased and fast-tracked, DMV is closed with online services only, utility shutoffs are cancelled for 60 days. Those with chronic health conditions or aged 65 or older are advised to self-quarantine.
