Overview: Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced announced that the government of Puerto Rico made a formal request to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to prohibit flights from areas considered as “hot spots” in the United States due to their high prevalence of COVID-19. The ban is requested for flights from New York, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Illinois.
