Overview: Alberta declares state of public health emergency due to COVID-19, and a significant likelihood of a pandemic influenza caused by the presence of COVID-19. Under section 52.7 of the Public Health Act, orders during influenza pandemic can be made for up to 90 days. The state of public health emergency prompts special regulation of people or property to protect public health. This intervention is targeted at the entire population of Alberta.
