13 March 2020 – New recommendations for Islanders to prevent potential COVID-19 cases

Overview: This policy outlines the following recommendations:
– Islanders who have travelled outside of Canada are asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
– Cancel all non-essential travel outside of the country.
– Reconsider attending social gatherings where a 2-meter distance is not possible, especially if the elderly or immune-compromised people are present.

Hygiene measures and routine prevention measures were also outlined, such as frequent hand washing.
