Overview: The UK Prime Minister encouraged over sixty of the UK’s leading manufacturing businesses and organisations to help the UK step up production of vital medical equipment, such as ventilators.

Subsequent technical specifications were published and there were periodic updates on the challenge, which ultimately produced a very limited number (~250) of ventilators for use in the NHS response to Covid-19
