Just like the fight against the corona pandemic, the climate must once again become a priority on the international political agenda, Federal President Simonetta Sommaruga is convinced. At two virtual ministerial conferences, it reaffirmed its credo: protecting the environment, creating jobs and boosting economic growth in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change are of strategic importance for sustainable crisis management.
