Overview: Government approves de-escalation plan which will gradually be implemented until end of June
The Council of Ministers approved the Plan for the Transition towards a New Normality which establishes the main parameters and instruments for the adaptation of the whole of society to the new normality, with the utmost guarantees of safety, after the crisis caused by COVID-19. De-escalation Plan will be gradual – all activities will be recovered in stages and under conditions and limitations that will vary according to each successive development. The de-escalation will be performed asymmetrically, by region, since the pandemic has not affected all regions equally. The process should be carried out in a coordinated fashion and the public will be able to see the objective criteria employed by the public authorities as the basis for the political decisions that will regulate the path towards the new normality.
