Overview: Spain defends key role of Official Development Assistance to tackle COVID-19 crisis to OECD
Spain defended the key role of Official Development Assistance (Spanish acronym: AOD) in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic at the high-level meeting of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Spain’s proposals on the role of the DAC in the reconstruction focused on enhancing AOD instruments to strengthen health and social protection systems, particularly for millions of people who are casual workers, together with sustainable development based on a zero-carbon footprint to ensure climate resilience
