02 April 2020 – Housing stability measures announced including non-expiration of lease agreements

Overview: Among the various measures presented, the Minister referred to the non-expiration of the lease agreements, until June 30, and the non-invocation of late payment to denounce them. Pedro Nuno Santos also said that families in difficulties could ask for support from the Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU). Landlords will also be able to use IHRU support, provided that “they have proven losses of income due to the same delays”
