Intervention Categories: Social and physical distancing measures; Reopening offices, businesses, institutions, and operations; Planning and strategy; Creation of or release of plans
Level of Jurisdiction: National

Overview: The Dutch Government has adopted a “Safe Working Together” protocol with the construction and engineering sector to ensure such work can continue. The protocol offers a guide for businesses, employees and clients on how to work safely during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Key guidelines include going to construction sites alone as much as possible, working in small permanent teams at fixed locations, keeping 1.5 meters away from people onsite, and ensuring clients stay in separate rooms if work is being done in residential homes.

The aim of the protocol is to ensure current projects, licensing and issuing of local permits can continue, without risking the health of employees.
