27 March 2020 – Established plan to repatriate Dutch Caribbean residents stranded overseas

Overview: The Dutch Government has made plans to bring home residents of Bonaire, who are currently stranded overseas and unable to return. To date, 225 residents have registered with the Government as requiring assistance from abroad. Repatriation of Dutch Caribbean residents will occur in different phases.

The first repatriation flight will be on the 14 April 2020. Only those with health certificates will be repatriated. All returning residents will also be required to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
