Intervention Categories: International travel measures
Level of Jurisdiction: National

Overview: The Dutch Government has temporarily suspended asylum applications in the Netherlands from 16 March 2020 until 6 April 2020. Temporary emergency accommodation has been set up in the meantime for those seeking asylum at military barracks in Zoutkamp to limit travel to asylum centres in the country.

The EU has also temporarily suspended the transfer of asylum seekers between EU Member States under the Dublin Regulation until at least the 6 April 2020, which is being followed by the Dutch Government.
