28 March 2020 – Advised vulnerable people to self-isolate

Overview: The Irish Government advised vulnerable people, including those aged over 70 and those with serious underlying medical conditions, to self-isolate. The government refers to this as “cocooning”.

Vulnerable people are advised to stay at home at all times, avoid any face-to-face contact with others, and arrange for food and medicine to be delivered.
