27 March 2020 – Closed all non-essential businesses

Overview: The Irish Government directed that all non-essential businesses must close.

Anyone can work from home must work from home, including essential workers and workers in essential government, utilities or other functions.

Essential retail outlets may remain open, including those which sell food, consumer products necessary for safety and sanitation, medical goods and medicines, goods necessary for care of animals, and vehicle and heating fuel.

Laundries, post offices and banks may also remain open.
