Overview: The German Government asks people to keep a distance of 1.5 metres from others when in public. People are still allowed to be in public but only when alone, with people from their household or alternatively with maximum one other person not living in their household.

People are allowed to leave the house for their commute to work, emergency care appointments, grocery shopping, medical appointments, participation in meetings, necessary appointments and exams, to provide support to others or to exercise or move around in fresh air or for any other necessary activities.

Explicitly forbidden are parties in groups in public places, in homes or in private establishments. Police are enforcing these measures and non-compliance will result in fines.
