Overview: The German Government required every company in Germany to implement a hygiene plan based on an adapted risk assessment and company pandemic planning.

The aim is, among other things, to avoid unnecessary contacts within the workforce and with customers, to implement general hygiene measures and to minimise the risk of infection in the event of necessary contacts by means of special hygiene and protective measures.

The government continues to encourage businesses to facilitate working form home wherever feasible. The authorities responsible for occupational health and safety and the accident insurance institutions can advise companies and carry out checks.
