23 March 2020 – Required truck drivers to take certain measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19

Intervention Categories: Individual measures; Legal and policy; Regulatory change
Level of Jurisdiction: National

Overview: The French government required that hand sanitiser should be provided where soap and water are not available at truck stops, and that commercial drivers keep hand sanitiser in their vehicles.

When a signature is required for dropping off goods, this requirement must be waived to avoid contact between the driver and the recipient. For people performing home deliveries, arrangements should be made with the recipient beforehand for packages to be left outside.
