26 February 2020 – Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends against travel to Northern Italy

Overview: Based on the decision of the State Security Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that the citizens of the Czech Republic not travel to the region of Lombardy and Veneto until the sanitary situation has been resolved.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens returning from the affected areas and showing symptoms of the disease contact the doctor (preferably by telephone in the first phase) and discuss further steps.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that current information in the media be closely monitored before traveling to the above-mentioned regions, as temporary measures may occur which may disrupt national and international air, road and train traffic.

Regarding the cancellation of fees for travel agency services, it is possible to proceed according to the information of the Ministry of Regional Development .
