Overview: The State Security Council has announced protective measures against the spread of coronavirus, the Czech Republic will stop flights from South Korea and northern Italy, biathlon will be without spectators
Brief outputs from the meeting of the State Security Council (BR) of 2.3.2020 :
● BR dealt with the current situation regarding the spread of coronavirus and the preparedness of the Czech Republic for the COVID-19 epidemic
● As part of preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus , the Czech Republic has decided to stop direct flights from South Korea and flights from northern Italian cities from the affected areas
● BR recommended restrictions on visits, especially at LDN, nursing homes, social services institutions, Alzheimer’s centers
● BR generally recommended people not to travel to Italy
● BR decided that all samples will be taken at home and then evaluated at the State Institute of Public Health so that the results are always no later than 7 am
● BR also asked the Minister of Health to involve the Health Institute in Ostrava in testing the samples
● BR: 200,000 respirators will be purchased for state material reserves
● BR: the Minister of Health was given the task of ensuring the distribution of respirators to general practitioners
