16 April 2020 – Department of State raises global travel risk to Level 4

Overview: The Department of State (BMEIA) had raised its travel advice for all countries in the world to at least level 4 due to the corona pandemic on March 13. Since then there have been no countries with levels 1, 2 and 3. Level 5 applies to 21 states, level 6 (travel warning) currently applies to 29 states, including Italy, France, Spain, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
