23 September 2020 – People entering Panama must carry negative test certificate

Overview: Executive Decree that establishes the sanitary measures for nationals, residents or foreigners who will enter the national territory while the State of Emergency is in force, as of October 12, 2020. This Decree repeals E.D. No. 605, of April 30, 2020.
Any person who enters the national territory must carry a test certificate of swab / PCR or negative antigen, carried out 48 hours before arrival to Panama, the traveler who does not provide said certificate, will have the obligation to be tested with a rapid test, prior to registration at airport inmigration. This test will be at the passenger’s expense.
If the test is positive, the person will go to the control of the health authorities for their respective quarantine in the hospital-hotels.
With the exception of technical crews, auxiliary, mechanics and humanitarian personnel.
