Overview: The activation of the health emergency operations center (CODES), is ordered in the framework of the international health alert decreed by PAHO / WHO, in relation to the outbreak of the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV), in different countries with origin in China.

Public Health authorities, executive branch.

Monitor and recommend actions and initiate response preparations in the event that any intervention is necessary due to the international health alert declared by PAHO / WHO in relation to 2019-nCoV.
Declare a preventive alert (DECLARA ALERTA VERDE DE SALUD), as of January 22, 2020. This type of alert is declared once a phenomenon that may affect public health or the operation of the health system is identified, which depending on its evolution may require the adoption of extraordinary measures.

Identification of the resources necessary for the national response
Surveillance and monitoring the threat and evolution of the scenario
Coordination with scientific entities and others linked to the event
Implementation and monitoring of operational plans for response to biological events
Preparation of reports on the health situation for decision-making
Update resource inventory for national response
