Overview: Executive Decree No. 855 of July 10, 2020, ordering the temporary suspension of the application of Article 8 of Executive Decree No. 36 of January 17, 2020, (which regulates the exception application procedure for the sanitary registration process for supplies or medicines), corresponding to medicines that enter the country for the treatment of Covid-19 disease, as long as the State of Emergency declaration is maintained.

Evidence/Justification: Due to the high worldwide demand for drugs for the treatment of Covid-19, it is understood that some of which could not have the national health registry, it is considered necessary to temporarily suspend this requirement, without prejudice of compliance in the presentation of the other documents required by the sanitary authority that allows it to guarantee the quality, safety, efficacy and affectivity, when the exception of sanitary registration of these medicines by the importer is requested.
