Overview: The Government of El Salvador announces new measures to tackle the COVID-19 virus. Measures include but at not limited to: creation of an extended Health Cabinet; 30-quarantine of nationals coming to the country, and prison for any person entering illegally; public shows, gyms, and agglomerations of more than 50 people are suspended; people over 60 years old, pregnant women, and people with chronic diseases must be sent home both from public and private sector (paid); Non-essential companies/services are advised to close; Government fixes prices to some food items in order to avoid hoarding; Different ordinances for the public transportation; Government starts construction of hospital to treat COV-19 cases exclusively. The hospital is to have 300 ICU beds, and 2000 regular beds; All government institutions involved, including the police, must guarantee compliance with these sanitary provisions. The army coordinates logistics in quarantine centers
