Overview: The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, declared an orange alert to the coronavirus on Wednesday, after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak as a global pandemic.

Bukele explained through his Twitter account that the decision will allow the country, “to have more prevention tools” as well as greater control of subsequent infections.
