Overview: Government announces support to tourism industry. The Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) agreed a moratorium on payment for four months (April, May, June and July) to companies that owe taxes to this agency.

Evidence/Justification: This decision was made by the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Turism Institute (ICT), as they are aware of the zero income season that will last for at least three months in the tourism sector. They approved these measures to help alleviate the overwhelming effects of this crisis to the Costa Rican tourism sector and the country, and in order to support the sector that for years have fulfilled their tax obligations with the ICT, allowing with their contributions, the Institution to grow in its tourism development programs in our country.
