Overview: Congress approved a bill to protect workers during the emergency of COVID-19. A subsidy is created for unemployment, temporary suspension of the employment contract or reduction of working hours, in favor of private-sector workers, informal workers and independent workers who have seen their income affected as a result of the entry into force of executive decree 42227-MP-S, published on March 16, 2020.
