Overview: The intervention involved the assistance of people who have lost their jobs due to COVID- 19. This is the release of Fiji National Provident Fund- COVID-19 assistance to members who have lost their jobs- 2nd wave. The targeted audience is the general public and it was intended to notify people of Fiji’s government assistance.

Minister for Ecoomy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said that people will be able to access $1,100 from their general accounts or will be paid $1,100 by the government over 5 fortnightly instalments. This assistance is for unemployment benefit (this includes all the people who have already received assistance and those who have become unemployed since the 1st wave).
