Overview: The Korean government requires all international travellers to self-isolate for 14 days after arrival.
Passengers who show symptoms will be tested for COVID-19 on arrival.
Korean nationals who arrive from Europe will be directed to a district health center for testing within three days, while Korean nationals arriving from other regions will be tested if they show symptoms during the self-isolation period.
Non-Korean nationals who live in Korea and are arriving from Europe will be tested upon arrival, while those arriving from other regions will be tested if they show symptoms during the self-isolation period.
Short-term travellers arriving from Europe will be tested upon arrival and provided with appropriate quarantine/self-isolation accommodation if required. Those arriving from other regions will be provided with accomodation and will be tested if they show symptoms.
The Korean government will require all travellers without access to appropriate accommodation for self-isolation to pay for the use of the accommodation regardless of nationality.
The Korean government may provide exemptions to the self-isolation requirements for diplomatic, business, or humanitarian reasons. In the case of these exemptions, international arrivals will be tested for COVID-19 on arrival and will be subject to active monitoring.
International arrivals must use their own vehicle to return home from the airport. Designated airport trains and buses will be provided for recent international arrivals who must self-isolate.
