Overview: The Saudi Passport Authority has suspended the use of national ID cards for Saudi citizens and citizens of GCC countries for travel purposes in the GCC area.
This decision does not include Saudi citizens who are currently in a GCC country and wish to return to the Kingdom, and citizens from GCC countries who are currently in Saudi and wish to return to their country.
