Overview: Declaration of state of calamity in the Philippines due to the local transmisson of covid-19 in the Philippines. Policy was declared in light of confirmed local transmission of covid-19 in the Philippines as determined by the Department of Health (DOH) secretary. Philippines is placed under stake of calamity for 6 months. Also, entire Luzon Island is placed under Enhanced Commmunity Quarantine (ECQ) at 12:00 AM on March 16, 2020. Policy is addressed to national government, its agencies, and all local government agencies to abide by this proclamation to protect the safety of all citizens against the diesease.
