Overview: The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and DOLE issue the following guidelines to assist private institutions allowed to operate during the period of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and General Community Quarantine (GCQ) to develop and implement minimum health protocols and standards due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The following guidelines highlight: (1) workplace safety and health; (2) safety measures in entry/exit points of offices and inside the workplace; (3) minimizing contact rates through alternative work arrangements, physical distancing, and re-arrangement of office spaces, among others; (4) measures for decontamination due to presence of suspected COVID-19 carriers, such as decontamination, wearing of PPEs, and isolation areas; (5) duties of employers and workers; (6) protocols for workplace with imminent danger situations; (7) COVID-19 testing; (8) Work from home arrangements for most at risk workers and vulnerable workers; (9) Reporting of Illnesses/diseases/injuries; and (9) assistance by the DTI and DOLE in the compliance of employers to the following guidelines.
