Overview: The Balochistan provincial government began to take precautionary measures to prevent entry of the coronavirus into the province. The Balochistan provincial health department has constituted a 14-member technical committee to deal with situation.

The technical committee will comprise senior officials of the health department as well as representatives of the World Health Organisation and Unicef. The committee will daily basis to assess the evolving situation and implement required measures. It will assist in setting up an isolation ward for the victims at a local hospital, and collect health data relating to the novel coronavirus through epidemiological analysis, and also establish surveillance system to identify and treat cases.
