Overview: Kyrgyzstan considers precautionary measures in connection with spread of the new coronavirus. A meeting of the emergency response center took place regarding preparations for the appearance of the novel coronavirus. Health screening to take place at all border checkpoints (air, rail and road) for people arriving from China and other affected countries. National virology laboratories accredited by the WHO readied to carry out analysis. Isolation wards prepared at healthcare centres for diagnosis and treatment of possible cases. The Ministry of Defense has created a task group that will also work on the detection of the virus.
