Overview: The Ministry of Health confirmed the first case in Kyrgyzstan (Jalal-Abad region) on 18 March. 3 patients who arrived from Hajj tested positive for COVID-19 . The patients were admitted to clinical hospital. People who had contact with those the patients, and their family members, in total 142 patients, admitted to isolation, but tested negative for COVID-19. All patients who had contact with these 142 patients, in total 1414 patients, are under home observation.
On 19 March 2020, the Ministry of Health confirmed 3 additional cases in Nookat region. Female patients came from Jeddah on 12 March 2020. All 3 patients were placed under isolation.
