Overview: Preventative measures implemented, including strengthening of sanitary and epidemiological and migration control at checkpoints at the state border, including air, road and rail facilities, establishment of medical supervision of all persons arriving from China at their place of residence, ensuring that health facilities are ready to provide the necessary assistance to the population in the event of a worsening epidemiological situation, restricting travel to China on business trips and recommend that people refrain from travelling for private and tourist purposes, suspension of the 72-hour visa-free stay in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for transit passengers from China, temporary suspension of the work of the Kazakhstani part of the IPC “Horgos,” intensification of work with Kazakhstani citizens in the territory of the People’s Republic of China to provide them with consular and other assistance, engagement of government agencies with the relevant government agencies of the People’s Republic of China and other interested countries to coordinate actions to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, if necessary, provide emergency evacuation of Kazakhstani students and other citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, located in the city of Wuhan of China, and creation of an inter-agency commission chaired by Deputy Prime Minister B. Saparbayev, who is tasked with preparing an action plan to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Kazakhstan.
