Overview: The administration of Baghdad’s international airport in collaboration with the ministry of health instructed the competent authorities at the airport to perform preventive medical examinations for people coming to Iraq from China.

The ministry of health started spreading awareness about the virus and its symptoms and started preparing plans to deal with any health emergency by creating special lobbies and trained cadres to deal with any change and providing all the required medications and medical supplies.

The ministry of foreign affairs provided a private Iraqi Airways plane supplied with medical staff to evacuate students and Iraqi citizens residing in Wuhan, and return them to Baghdad. The embassy also opened hotlines available throughout the day for the Iraqi community, and created electronic groups to ensure direct contact with them.
