Overview: The police directorate in the province of Najaf issued a statement regarding the strict curfew it imposed for one week, noting that the application of the curfew was to everyone without exception and that the police would only allow those who wear uniforms from health personnel, security forces and the media. The Police Directorate stressed on the necessity to adhere to the instructions of the crisis cell by all citizens, health personnel and media, which stipulated that the movement is allowed only for health cadres wearing the official working uniform and carrying their identification cards as there were people who move without official work and therefore this procedure was taken to limit unnecessary movement. As for the authorized media correspondents, they need to carry their working tools and will be permitted to move until 10 pm.
