20 April 2020 – Crisis Cell extends curfew, stresses Ramadan gatherings and weddings are banned

Overview: The head of the crisis cell in the governorate of Najaf, Louay Al-Yasiri announced the continuation in the disruption of the official working hours except for the necessary departments such as health, retirement and the municipality. He indicated that due to Coronavirus cases in the governorate, the curfew will continue to be applied as is and stressed that the Ramadan gatherings and weddings will not be allowed in the current period. Also, the restaurants and the coffee shops will continue to be closed.
 
In addition, Louay Al-Yasiri stated that only the yellow taxis with Najaf plate number will be allowed, noting that cars that carry other governorate plates are not allowed to move in the governorate at all.
