Overview: New decisions were issued regarding the curfew in the cities of Basrah and Nineveh such as:
– In Basrah, the Crisis Cell decided to partially lift the curfew (from 6am-6pm) starting from next Sunday with exception of Friday and Saturday (complete curfew). The Crisis cell also announced the opening of the Shalamcheh border starting from mid May for trade exchange only.
-In Nineveh, the governor and the head of the Crisis Cell, Najm al-Jubouri, announced in a statement that the curfew will be lifted on Friday and Saturday, based on the public interest and according to the powers granted He also explained that the extension of the lifting of the curfew will be until ten o’clock in the evening to relieve citizens and facilitate their movement with the approach of Eid Al Fitr.
