Overview: In implementing the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy and Oil Minister Thamer Al-Ghadban, ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said that the oil companies provided support to the governorates to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus epidemic. The General Company for Mobilization and Gas Services has allocated an amount (100) million dinars to the province of Baghdad to support health institutions. The companies also took the initiative of providing support to poor families by organizing symbiotic campaigns to equip them with food baskets. The baskets were distributed to thousands of families in Baghdad and other governorates.
Jihad indicated that the monetary support provided for the governorates and health authorities aim to provide urgent medical supplies for hospitals and health quarantines, in order to enhance their efforts to protect citizens and treat the injured, and they come in the implementation of Cabinet decisions.
