Overview: President of the Border Ports Authority, Omar Al-Waeli, announced the resumption of trade exchange through the border port of Zurbatiya for two days a week after the appeal by Wasit governorate to secure food and agricultural supplies in local Iraqi markets and maintain price stability. Al-Waeli also stressed that strict preventive health measures will be taken during the trade exchange process such as disinfection and fumigation of the imported goods and he emphasized the continuation of prevention of entry of travelers between both the countries.
