Overview: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and the Minister of Finance chaired the sixth session of the Ministerial Council meeting for the economy, in the presence of the Ministers of Planning, Trade, Industry, Mines, Agriculture, Labor and Social Affairs, the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, the advisers to the Prime Minister and the representatives of the ministries of finance, planning and oil. The council also hosted general managers in the ministries of Trade, Labor and Social Affairs. The statement released by the council pointed out that “the council discussed the mechanism of providing the financial grant to citizens who were affected by the curfew from people with limited income, distributing the ration card items as soon as possible, overcoming all obstacles they face, and submitting its recommendations to the Cabinet”.
