Overview: The media office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance Fuad Hussein held a closed-circuit television meeting with the British and American ambassadors, the undersecretary of the Ministry of Health (Hazem Al-Jumaili), the World Bank official for Middle Eastern Affairs, the representative of the International Monetary Fund and representative for Iraq (Amman), a number of financial officials in the two international institutions and the representative of global health to discuss the financial and economic situation and ways they can provide the required support to the health sector in Iraq to combat COVID-19. The officials of the two organizations of the Bank and the International Monetary Fund confirmed their readiness to respond quickly to aid the Government of Iraq to meet the needs of the fight against Corona, while the Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq offered his welcome for any financial support that might be provided by other countries in this framework.
