Overview: In the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety and the directives of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, the response reported by the committee member and head of the border crossing authority Omar Adnan Al-Waeli to all outlets was to facilitate the entry of oxygen necessary to support health institutions to treat people with Coronavirus.
The statement added that the commission had its quick procedure by allowing the entry of (10) oxygen tanks through the border port of Safwan from Kuwait with a total load (220 tons) under the supervision of the director of the port department and the Iraqi charge d’affaires in the State of Kuwait, as well as the presence of the deputy governor of Dhi Qar and the representative of the Iraqi intelligence service.
The statement added that the process has been facilitated according to simplified procedures to take its destination to Dhi Qar Governorate (3) tanks and the rest of the other governorates to assist health authorities and support them to treat those infected with the emerging virus.
