Lead People/Agency: Ministry of Health made the designations without releasing the names of the hotels due to concerns of it affecting their business. Implementation is between the Ministry of Health and the respective hotels designated.

Overview: The Ministry of Health gazettes (designates) 17 hotels as isolation centres for individuals requiring mandatory quarantine. The target audience was all incoming travellers who were from countries not designated high risk. The intended effect was to provide options to incoming travellers to be able to undergo mandatory quarantine at costs acceptable to them as their time in these hotels would have to be paid by them.
